Frequently Asked & Question

The best weather is from April to October, making this an ideal summer/spring itinerary.

Pinnawala is a larger orphanage where you watch elephants bathe and feed. MEF is a smaller, more interactive foundation focusing on ethical walks and bathing with elephants.

Always cover your shoulders and knees. Carry a sarong for convenience as you will visit many sacred sites like the Temple of the Tooth and Koneswaram.

Sigiriya and Yapahuwa involve steep steps. Pidurangala is moderate but requires some bouldering at the top. We recommend comfortable walking shoes for all.
